Why I’m Running

I love Denton. This is my hometown. It is where my roots run deep and where my husband and I chose to build our family. But lately, when I talk to neighbors across this city, I hear a consistent and heartbreaking message: our city council has stopped listening to us. When decisions are made behind closed doors, the bond of trust between a city and its citizens is broken. This ends now. I am running to lead a Denton where transparency is the standard and public input is the foundation.

Putting Dentonites First

Leadership means listening, even when the feedback isn’t what you want to hear. From the sprawl of high-density apartments, to the constant frustrations of road construction, traffic, and GoZone, to the push for industrial data centers, our council keeps giving us development that we did not ask for. We must end a system that favors the good ol’ boys network and build a city council that prioritizes the needs of everyone who calls Denton home.

My career has made me an expert in collaboration. I specialize in uniting people with different perspectives to find common ground and solve complex problems. I believe Denton is full of brilliant, compassionate, and creative minds. As your Mayor, I will tap into that collective knowhow and create a city that works together to solve its problems. I won’t claim to have all the answers; instead, I will ensure that the people who do are finally invited to the table.

A Mom on a Mission

As a mom, my focus is on where Denton is going and how it is growing. I want all of our children to inherit a Denton that is as vibrant and creative and interesting as the one I grew up in. To do that, we must protect what makes us unique while solving our problems with heart and innovation. Every voice matters in this journey. Together, we can build a community that works for everyone and keep Denton, Denton.
